Alessandra Bonomini was born in Alessandria (Italy) in 1973. She currently lives and works in Piacenza. She enrolled in the Brera Academy in 1994, and in 1995 she took part in the collective exhibition Transatlantico, curated by the critics G. Di Pietrantonio and A. Garutti and held at the Via Farini space in Milan. In 1998 she was mentioned by the critic G. Verzotti in the magazine Art Forum; in the same year she spent some time in London studying certain areas of contemporary art. In 1999 she recorded a number of videos and worked as assistant director on the screenplay of a film sponsored by the Emilia Romagna region. In 2000 she graduated in Painting from the Brera Academy. From 2001 to 2003 she worked for the magazine Panorama Arte based in Piacenza. In June 2005 she held a personal show at the Laboratorio delle Arti, also in Piacenza. Moreover, in 2005 she published the catalogue NUOTANDO….SUL TRENO IN CORSA (SWIMMING... ON THE SPEEDING TRAIN). Her main activity is painting.
